Hey just bought my first car a 1987 toyota landcruiser FJ60. I've been having to fix the water pump but for some reason the oil cooler hose that connects directly to the pump doesn't fit. Please let me know if there are any solutions.

Strange.
Is there a bolt holding the bottom of the pipe in?
Is it twisted?
It is a very tight fit with that little piece of elbow hose connecting the water pump nipple and the pipe.
Make sure pipe is not tweaked. If someone else started the project they may have bent the pipe to remove the elbow connection.

And OS,
the factory clamp does indeed fit on the elbow and not hit the a/c belt.:hillbilly:

What you show there is the factory twisty sardine can clamp.
There were a few on the cooling/heating piping when new.
I have never saw one get replaced have you?
I'll stick with the one I have.
The parts diagram even calls for it. It could be tucked in farther but I left it at an angle where it could be tightened or loosened with an LAS.;)

output, is the rubber hose that connect to the oil cooler output 0.75, 5/8? Can i just use cut heater hose or does it have a significant bend in it?

I'm installing a new water pump this weekend and this appears to be the only hose I didn't order.

Thanks

Edit: just found another post listing the inside DA as 5/8.
