Brother needs a tractor shipped from Washington court House, Ohio to Covington, Texas. He is cheap and wants to use my truck but I'm not interested in putting the mileage and wear and tear on my vehicle. Trying to help him get some quotes.

Tractor is 22' long with a brush hog. 7.5' tall and 8' wide. Weight 3 tons.

Pm me if anyone is headed this direction. Thanks

So,

Your brother is cheap & you don't want to haul for him ..

But you think someone here might ?

Got it !

So let me get this straight... you are possibly a business owner who potentially could profit by doing business with myself or brother who are paying customers but instead you thought getting on my post and making a smart remark about a situation you know nothing about was smart?

Got it!

Furthermore, I was telling my brother about a guy (you) who seems to do quite a bit of logistics work for mud members. Thus I created a post and I was hoping you, specifically you Jim (trulyvintage), might respond with a quote for shipping as I have talked my brother into getting it shipped. There is nothing wrong with people being cheap or looking for quotes. That is the reason this forum exists because we all use the knowledge and expertise of others on Mud to help us get through issues we do not know how to navigate or can't/don't want to pay for someone else to fix for us. Additionally, the reason you have a logistics business is because you fill a void for folks that don't have the time, equipment, resources, or desire to put the wear and tear on their vehicles. So don't ridicule them when they want your services and are willing to pay you.

Maybe someone else who is looking for some business will contact me. Brother is a good guy but I don't have a weeks worth of time to take off work, nor do I want to put the miles on my truck. Not because I don't like my brother but because I am not sure my truck will make the trip. And with a $10k engine that I am not willing to risk, I encouraged him to get it shipped until I can work out some gremlins.

But hey, What do I know. I am just a mud member trying to help out his cheap brother who was willing to fork over a few thousand dollars for your services. I'll make sure to take his few thousand dollars elsewhere. Thanks for helping me dodge a bullet.
