why does it matter what stock wheels you have? I have aluminum but will be putting on steelies sometime this year. Which ones should I get?

Rear
48531-69286 "Aluminum" $48
48531-69417 "Steel" $48
Front
48511-69187 "w/o alum" $44
48511-80011 "w/alum" $22

Also, I am assuming these are Tokico (?) no brand on any Toyota sites. Cruiserparts lists them as Tokico in hornet green. OEMs are black I think

Way to kill a thread @beno. You need to wait till a minimum of 2 crazy thoughts are posted before you come down with the unassailable answer:)

Olathe, my local dealer, and cruiser parts all have more than one option for my year/VIN. Got any info to back that up beno?

Caveat this part number discussion with a clarification and an apology to the OP @ryan greathouse : Thought the OP had an FZJ80 and it was my bad that I did not read his signature that he has a 3F-E truck.

The part numbers I provided above would work fine in his application but there are technically different part numbers for the early 1991-1992 trucks.

Fronts: 48511-69207
Rears: 48531-69286

This would be regardless if you had steel or aluminum rims because they supersede to each other.

Again, my apologies to the OP.

Sometimes it's worthwhile to read the signatures people have. :bigfootinmouth:

In the end the parts supplied by Olothe Toyota based on my VIN do line up with Beno's final answer and came out to be $50 ea. plus $35 s&h. Will be pairing them with aftermarket coils (Dobinson's) and possibly air bags in the rear for trips. Thanks guys

The steel vs aluminum shock difference is interesting. (FJ80 front shocks, maybe also applies to FZJ80?)

48511-80011

Aluminium wheel.
Front shocks.
'91-'94 Land Cruiser
'93-'97 T100
Discontinued.

48511-69187

Steel wheel.
Front shocks.
'91-'92 Land Cruiser.
In stock.

Does anyone know if the damping rates are different for the lighter/heavier wheels? Interesting that 48511-80011 is also for the first two years of the FZJ80.
