Where did you get them from and do you have a make / product number? I've never been happy with the straps and would swap them out in a heartbeat. Thanks.

The straps on my Jerry can racks are metal and lock (from Expeditions in Torrance, CA) I know that you didn't direct the question to me, but it's another response and potential resource. I don't use the Jerry can racks but they are what they are.

I got them at a local store here in town, but i'll go back and check the brand name. The Python Cable lock by masterlock is really nice to snake through the rack, around the can and through the can handle. It cinches down nice and tight and really holds the cans on securely. But I'll check on those metal buckle tie downs too.

They have alot of stuff on their website. Did you just hit the store and browse till you found the strapping you wanted, or did you pretty much know what you wanted a priori?

Thanks. If you've found good, working tie downs for the cans, I'd love to reap the benefit.

Has anyone fabricated any bracketry to adapt the Wedco jerry can holder offered by Expedtionware to the OEM roof rack?

The Expeditionware jerry can holder looks like a pretty slick design, although it is a bit expensive.
