FYI: The Yazaki resistor wire, and the BY ignition wires are 10ga, not 8 ga. Besides the battery/starter/ground cables, there are no wires in the USA spec FJ25/40/45 larger than 10ga.





Hi Mark @Coolerman Trying to figure out my options...does it make sense to you to add a Yazaki wire and is that something you can make, since it sounds like it's size and length specific?

Quit calling it a Yazaki wire. It's a resistor wire.
The entire harness is made by Yazaki. They are all Yazaki wires.

Do not cut open the harness to install a resistor wire. Just install a resistor.

Thanks so much for replying Jim, @FJ40Jim The dizzy is electronic. The aluminum case igniter I have, only shows for an FJ40....so I should look for a 60 series igniter to match up with the coil you listed 90919-02113

The 02113 coil is the correct one for any 81-87 ignitor, regardless of FJ40 or 60. The only difference between the 40 & 60 ignitor is the wire lead for 40 is a little longer.
