Odd question I've never thought to ask before

I think it would take a bigger crank than that to turn over a diesel. Do diesels have stronger starters than gassers?

Hand crank a diesel??? Not very likely unless you're a champion weightlifter or wrestler and even then I doubt it. I need a breaker bar to turn it over to TDC when I adjust my valves!

You won't be able to actually start it cold unless you get the glow plugs glowing first.
