"odd noise" (1 Viewer)

Hi all,

Got a '77 40 all original only things done to is, de-smog, and SOA.
I've got a noise that comes and goes, it sounds almost like a warn bearing, vibration thingy it seems to be coming from the t-case and if I just lightly touch the t-case shifter it goes away, been thinking(and hoping) its just the linkages. Does this sound right, or does it sound like something worse?

Sounds like the linkage, I don't think anything else would stop rattling with just touching the shifter.
