PERFORMED HEALTH CHECK, FOUND DTC P17DF FOR CENTER DIFF LOCK LIMIT SWITCH ~|~

UPON INSPECTION FOUND THE VEHICLE VOLTAGE AT 11.7V AND MOTOR VOLTAGE AT 9V AT THE TIME OF DTC TRIGGER.

UNABLE TO DUPLICATE CONDITION CAUSING THE DTC. BATTERY VOLTAGE WITHIN SPEC, BATTERY TESTED OK AT THIS TIME.

I have looked it up and can't find anything on the issue.

Thanks!

That battery voltage is too low. What were you doing with the truck when the 4lo light started flashing. If you were attempting to engage 4lo, there may not have been adequate oomph to work the actuator. I see you have a '16. What was the manufacture date and how old is the battery?

I think this is pulled from a Lexus driver service history and trying to get an understanding of what that might mean for a LX he's looking at purchasing or has purchased and just found this in the history

Yeh that’s right. I have never seen an issue like this and was curious if it might be one of those quirky things that might keep popping up without anyone knowing how to fix it.

Saw this same code in my history, 2 days back went into the garage, started the vehicle and had 4lo and Center Diff Lock lights flashing rapidly. Drove it, turned off the vehicle and did not appear again when i restarted. Both 4lo and Center Diff actuate/engage no issues. A bit of an audible clunk when engaged but based on past vehicles this is somewhat normal?
Dare I say it, but it was raining pretty hard the previous drive before I had some christmas tree lights show up, so will check for leaks/evidence of water / corrosion in the usual places.
