Engine forward is good, better cooling and plenty of room for a Toy Box.

How much is the 327 worth alone?

I know the motor being forward is good, it was just weird to see the shifter bent like that, reminded me of early ford trucks with the 4spd, the shifter was up under the dash...

327, by itself, not much, especially since this one was a family car motor. They are 2bolt main motors and I'm sure this one did not have any kind of performance heads or anything like that on it. It was just a basic 327 v8. Not to say that is a bad thing, it just is what it is.

Even if it had a 4BBL you would have wanted to make it a TBI.

I bet it's not to late to call the guy back.

True on the TBI, but even Q-jets run pretty decently for rock crawling, they will take everyting but standing strait up. Facing uphill, downhill or to either side they don't seem to mind, it is just if they are facing a really strait up climb (waterfall type obstacle).

I will check back later to see if it sold...maybe.

You can store it at my house...... I won't even tell Darcie..Wink, Wink...

A 2bbl rochester will run that little motor as high as you want to spin small journal rods wiht a stock bottom end.

"Impressive...most impressive...but you are NOT a Jedi YET!"

The force is NOT strong with you.:D

I would actaully LOVE to see you build that up for the tougher runs!

Well, you are probably going to have to wait a little longer for me to build a tougher run rig. The more I have thought about that one, the less I want to tackle it. Besides, the guy hasn't called me back, so I think someone else bought it.

Again, $250 isn't a whole lot when it comes to buying something like that, but to me it is only worth $1k. If someone else wants to by it for $1250, then they are probably getting a decent deal. You could easily blow through $250 to get it roadworthy and that wouldn't even get it close to trail worthy.

True dat, just base lining the lubricants would run well over $100.

Maybe you should be looking for a rig that is already built? :grinpimp:
