In the process of realizing the I probably need a OBD2 Memory Saver to change my failing OEM lead acid battery out to a 27F yellow Optima without losing LC 200 computer vehicle presets, I started thinking about what Cruiser Heads use their Port for?

How many of you have OBD scanners and how do you use this Port?
ie. battery change save settings, diagnostics only, shift point modifications, etc?

I use this with my Noco GB150 and does the trick. Plenty of options out there, however.

I also use an UltraGuage scanner as well as a Tecsis programming adapter, but never simultaneously - eg always have to swap out the obd2 dongle for task at hand.

But the Noco setup will help keep things like presets programmed etc when swapping out your starting battery.

Hope that helps.
