Looking through the different posts on broken, rusted, missing and otherwise abused O2 sensor bung studs, I thought I'd post a picture and some basic measurements.
I have a broken one and one with the nut frozen to it. Luckily enough the frozen one took the stud with it instead of snapping it. I am trying to source a couple of replacements.
The O2 sensor bung stud from my '96 Landcruiser. If anyone has other measurements on this bit, please speak up. I know the caliper looks like it's measuring at 29mm, but that is a camera angle effect.
Dimensions:
Length: 28.5mm
Diameter: 8.0mm at the collar
Thread pitch: I measure 1.25mm per thread
Distance to collar on end that goes into the bung: 7mm
Distance to collar on end that gets the nut: 17mm
Collar width: 4.5mm
Now, who knows where to get a few of these? If Cruiserdan can source them (they aren't 'serviced' per se I understand), I'll buy some from him with the other stuff I need to buy.
I hope the gasket has a part number.
Thanks!
