I have done this in the past a lot but never took pics. This is an easy job.
I installed a pacesetter hedder on a RE. The stock manifold has a boss for the o2 sensor but the new parts do not.
I used a 3/8 bit then a step bit, and finally a round file to fit in the sensor portion into the pipe. Marked the bolt holes and drilled them. Hammered the pipe slightly flat where the sensor makes a good fit.

I used 'cut a gasket paper' along with that nasty hi temp red silicone.

Bolted it in using lock washers

Welded the bolts so later sensor r&r would be easier.
Obviously the pipe will have to be short enuff to get your wrench and welder in there.
Extend the wire to the sensor. Works like a dream.
