I'm proud to welcome the Battle Born Cruisers of Northern Nevada as Club Number 0004 in the Nevada Four Wheel Drive Association.
I received the club check in the amount of $100.00 from Michael Dillon yesterday.
I'm sending this email to you since you are the only online contact that I have for the Battle Born Cruisers.
Would you please do a couple of things for the N4WDA membership database?
- Send me two contacts and email addresses for your club.
- If the Battle Born Cruisers have a website or facebook page, please let me know.
To reiterate what Crag Clark and I said at the meeting we attended, Club members that appear on the roster that accompanied the check can join N4WDA at $25 per year (as opposed to regular membership at $30). If, at renewal time for the Club Membership, December 8, 2014, there are ten or more BBC members that are N4WDA members, the $100 Club renewal will be waived. If you gain new members, please let me know or send an updated roster so that these members can join at $25/year.
Please tell your club members to please write "Battle Born Cruisers" on written applications or to fill in the "Club Affiliation" line if joining via the membership page on www.n4wda.org.
Currently, N4WDA is engrossed in the fight to keep the Greater Sage-Grouse from being listed as "Threatened" under the Endangered Species Act. We will soon send all members and member clubs an email that contains "writing points" that may be cut and pasted, or much better, paraphrased and sent as comments for the joint BLM/Forest Service issued Environental Impact Statement. The EIS designates about 18 million acres in Nevada as "Critical Habitat" for this bird. This represents a huge threat to off-road recreation. More information is available on our website and will be receiving more information in the near future.
