Where the hick does this thing go?

This one connects to the engine block, right side , deep down, real close next to the oil filter bracket. Oil pressure sensor, I guess.
Here a pic of my rig:

And I don’t think this goes to anything… can I cut it off?

Where exactly in the engine bay is this?
I see a battery tray bracket and the wires bird's nest, which I suppose is from the wiper motor. But by geometry, this is left side, looking towards the firewall.?
Is your rig RHD? A more overview pic would help...
If this is right side, even this plug may go to the engine next to the oil filter. I can't clearly tell which is which.
On my LHD rig I didn't see any other round connector on the right (passenger) side, were also the wiper motor is located. There is only one more connector in thst area, which goes to the alternator. But that one is square, not round.
I know that some later versions have more sensors (e.g oil pressure gauge), which my early 1985 doesn't have.

Grounds:
- Starter to frame left side.
- Gearbox to frame left side, next to clutch slave cylinder.
- Battery negative terminal to engine block (main ground)
- Battery negative terminal to body.
- Body to frame in the rear (location may depend on body type)

Ground to engine only doesn't work as gearbox- ,engine- and body-mounts have rubber bushings, which insulate.

Certain parts, which sit on rubber bushings, may even have separate ground wires to frame or body e.g. the radiator.
Cheers Ralf

I did all the grounds last night.
It’s left hand drive.
I’ve got both sensors by the oil filter.
I still don’t have the red white bad black cables attached to the battery. I did try the fuse but it still does the same thing.
I will see where they go today.

The fuse is not supposed to change anything, it just makes things safer and may prevent accidentally cooking your harness.
Good luck Ralf

Ok I found out where that connector end goes. It reached over she plugs into the round connector by the battery. The Black, Red, and White wires are connected together and when placed onto the positive side of the battery every thing seems to be happy.
