Non-OEM O2 Sensors (1 Viewer)

I guess it's time for me to look in to this. Can I get away with the non-oem O2 sensors? What are the pros and cons? Has any one done this?

I used GM O2 sensors but had to change the plug. I did this on a custom install though and if you are staying stock with the truck, I would definately go with Totota. Others will work.

I didn't know the GM O2 sensor would work. I was thinking more like going to NAPA or local auto store and picking up a pair for Toyota. Sounds like I ought to call Dan and get the right parts.

got non OEM sensors from www.oxygensensors.com for my 88 fj62 with a 3fe engine and it's been about 20k miles ago. Still working at about $70/each at the time.

Scott Miller did a bunch of OBDII scanning with multiple 02 sensors.

Search ScottM....you'll find it.

I'd stick with oem, from what I've read....Cdan should be able to get them for the cost of aftermarket ones.
