i cannot believe you would put that s*** on good meat...

Never let good meat soak in anything - only put flavoring on the outside of meat in a dry form....

i.e. Tonys

I like what I like. And you don't let it sit long enough to soak in.

If you haven't tried it, don't knock it.

Edit: And I expressly said that I didn't use it on the best meat. I think that you and I have vastly different expectations of what "good" meat is, considering that you sell meat for a living.

Buddy's isn't too bad, but the guy who runs it is an a******.

Have you had the smoked porkchops at the Cypress Inn?

Nope. I'm not made of money. I've heard that Cypress is expensive. Of course I did drop $100 on dinner for two at 12 steakhouse once last fall. I was disappointed. I can cook a better steak at home.

Cypress Inn is not expensive if you eat there for lunch. It's a good place to take parents when they come, too. Not all that pricey.

Lunch menu says 8.95 for the chops.

Mmm, mmm, bitch! Good motherfxxxing choice!

:confused:Noah why would angus from 1 store have a sugar taste to it. God it was gross.

Angus is a buzz word - it could have been a very old Angus or it could have been coated with something or flavor added to it.

Your best bet to ensure you get good steak is to buy from a reputable butcher. You dont want meat from old animals or dairy cattle.

You want to have meat that has a maturity grade A or B - live animal age. These are the only maturity grades that qualify for USDA Prime and Choice anything older gets a Select or worse grading. The maturity grade scale goes from A to E
A=under 30 months
B=30 to 42 months

Let's talk veal, bitches. Who partakes in eating baby calves? I eat veal on occasion. Very tender. I don't see it sold in stores though...what gives?

Me like me some VEAL.

However we don't produce here on the place so its an eat out item only.

Great in German food. Often used and we have a 5 star German restaurant here local so.:D

veal is a dying protein......less and less people are eating and more and more processors are not growing it.

Veal is a bi-product of the dairy industry. 98% of all veal animals are male. This is because all dairy cattle are AI (artificially inseminated), so they dont need male animals unless they have the right genes for breeding and if they do their sperm is collected and use in AI...

The veal industry is trying to get over the hump of people thinking they are torturing the animals, so they are coming out with free range "green" animals that are guaranteed grown humanly

i am not a veal fan b/c you have to put some sauce on it to make it taste like something.....
If you age beef enough it will be just as tender as veal, but with a much better taste..

Nope he refused. I was so pissed i threw it in the face of the butcher. I am sure if i went back in after cooling off I would have got a full refund. He was defensive and cocky from the start.
