@Steamer I have a mid-74 and purchased the second to last 04111-60084 Engine overhaul Gasket set (73-74) in the US a few years ago... It arrived crushed beyond usage thanks to the gentle souls at UPS. After a bit of persuasion to get the shipper to pack box-in-box, I was then sent the last one....

Lucky you! I believe the oem F.5 head gasket is specific to that engine but the after markets vary with some having the extra holes. The extra holes meaning, the holes in the block that don't have a corresponding hole in the head. Makes me think that some of the aftermarket guys scanned the block to make a gasket and others scanned the head. Or,,, the extra holes come about when making a gasket to fit multiple years. Either way, I now have a new gasket with extra un-used holes. Looking at pics, some don't have the extra holes but I'm un-sure of the a.m. quality. So that's why I thought I'd take this long shot chance on a discontinued oem. I'd love to see a good pic of an F.5 oem head gasket.

FWIW, this is prolly the best AM you'll find in USA. My guess is it's an Ishino gasket.

Good to hear on the Ishino. That's what I got from FJparts although it came in plain wrapping so I didn't have a name. For comparison in this pic I put the oem you showed first. Then second is the one I got from FJparts. And third is a pic MadMace posted and asking which was correct. His new one had fewer holes.
But now I see what I have looks identical to the oem. Thanks so much for that pic.

Is that one from FJparts a Graphlex gasket ? Can't quite tell from the pic. Or, could you post a close-up of the surface, please. What's stamped into the gasket at about 2 o'clock?

Here's the gasket I purchased @ FJparts. "LINK"
I called them with my concerns on packaging. I was told it would be well protected and it definitely was. It came unmarked with no labels in a plain plastic envelope between two plain cardboard pieces taped together with bubble wrap on the ends and then into a usps box with noodles. I have no idea what brand it is or where it was made.
First pic with the stamped numbers is on the top, head side.
Second pic is the bottom, block side.

Interesting. That is a Payen part # (out of UK and I think a Federal-Mogul sub), equivalent for the 60033 HG. It's prolly a rebranded Made-in-Japan and looks to be Graphlex, like OE. I wouldn't hesitate at all to use that gasket.

Everything I've bought from FJParts has been quality.

Thanks for the pix! 🍺

Thanks for the info and the vote of confidence on it. Might be a month before I pull the head. Just getting everything lined up.

No matter what Amayama says, the head gasket is discontinued. They are going to come back and say that the part requested is discontinued and refund your money.

Yup! Just as you said Onur. Amayama just emailed me and said head gasket # 1111560033 out of production and out of stock. Refund issued. Well maybe they’ll correct their web page and avoid confusion for others. Anyway, I do have the decent aftermarket one so I’m good to go.

Yup! OEM 2F head gaskets are no problem. It's the OEM for the F.5 that can't be had.
