no lights???

So I got my new toyota alt and put it in the cruiser. Put the starter back in and a brand new red top optimum battery. Hooked everything back up. NO TURNOVER. NO LIGHTS. NOTHING. checked voltage and above 12. everything appears to be hooked up correctly, ground is fine, did not even mess with it. Am I missing something Wanted to take my baby for a drive today as it has been sitting for a few weeks not. completely bummed.

Check all yer cables and get the starter checked, sounds like a solenoid maybe.

Just reread the post and missed the light issue, check the cables.

My guess is that you reversed the cabled on the starter solenoid. That would cause no power to anything.

I cleaned up the cables and hooked up again......Running. Thank you.
