I've been running the NTG AT's in 285/75R16 on my Cruiser for probably 18 months now.

These have been fantastic tires onroad and offroad. Wear has been exceptional, traction in all conditions (except mud, of course) has been fantastic. I run 35-37psi onroad and have put around 20k on them.

Offroad I drive very conservatively. For those who know URE and it's loose rocks, I run all of the trails there and only bypass Kodak, for some context of how they're used. I air down to 18-20psi on every ride.

My concern is these tires are getting torn up pretty bad. I've got chunking, parts of the letters are getting torn off, tread blocks are just getting ripped up esp around the siping. They have never been punctured and have never failed me, but my fear is continued offroad use will destroy them very quickly.

My question is are others using these tires offroad and how have they held up for you? I have considered another set b/c I like these so much but if this experience is common, I'll move on to another tire.

Mine aren't happy, and I've only wheeled them once.
But then, the BFG MT that I normally run are all torn up too
Wheeling isn't good for tires......

If I were to purchase a set of all terrain tires, I'd go with Nitto too. Always have head good things about them.

I've got the 315/75r16 Nitto TG's on my 80. I have about 7k on them and they have seen a lot of dirt miles (probably close to 2000miles of just dirt of some flavor) fully loaded, snow, Moab, Sierra rock crawling and just two weekends ago about 120 miles of shale. So far they are holding up great. My buddy has Toyo AT's on his 100, and he has some serious chunking and sidewall slices. The shale tore his up and didn't seem to faze the TG's. So far I am really happy with mine.

They are quiet, balanced out with the worst one taking 3oz, the rest 1-2oz. Fully loaded with 4 adults and the roof rack loaded for a couple of days camping they didn't do so well on a steep mud climb (about 32lbs, should have gone lower), but for everything else I have been very happy.
