Next meeting is Thursday July 23rd, 7pm at the 6 Mile Pub in Colwood. If that is not a good day or location for you guys, let me know and we can change the date/venue.

I know some guys were asking if we could have a meet in Nanaimo this month. For the past few months we've been alternating our locations Victoria/Cobble Hill. Being the last meet was in Cobble Hill, I think we'll have this meet in Victoria. However, in August we could meet back up island somewhere. If everyone is up for driving to Nanaimo, I suppose we could meet there. Could maybe do a day of wheeling up there at the same time to make the drive worth it? Jim and Rob, you got some trails you could bring us out on?

I will be at there! I have come to realization after last meets monkey business/ driving that more Cruiser convoys are needed!! Was awesome seeing them all lined up going down the highway and shows a little club presence. See you all at the meet.
 
I'm pretty sure I'm due for a Princess Auto run so I'm hoping to justify the time away from work to finally make it out to a meet. Seeing the convoy from last month was indeed impressive and it would be cool to see even more next week! It'll be all Root-beer for this guy though ;-)

Ya lots of room here for everyone to stay a night, after wheeling, lots of trails!!
 
Anyone want to do a trail run on the weekend after the meetup?

Somewhere between here and Nanaimo and ill be game.
 
Hmmmm...there is a slim chance I might be able to get out this weekend. Will run it by SWMBO when the time is right....
 
Looks like I'm going down to Vic on Wednesday (day off) instead of Thursday now, so once again, I'm out (not that I was ever in, since I haven't been to an official mtg yet!). Cheers!

Sorry to hear PeeZed! Well, hopefully we see you next meet we have closer up your way.
 
Just a reminder, meeting is tonight everyone. Hope to see all you local guys at least.

One thing we should talk about is the Aug run. I'd like to know what you guys are into. Want to do a big circle route (lots of back road kms) covering as much territory as possible with some camping/wheeling at planned locations along the way? Or want to do what we did last year which was wheel into a single really nice location, setup camp, and then take it easy while doing some day exploring/wheeling from camp?
 
Good Meet! Just some informal notes (I think Keith may have more formal minutes): In attendance we had Koopz (Keith), Gsb15 (Graham & Katie), franken60 (Lauchlan), Sweatyforehead (Jordan), GTSSportCoupe (Nick), Chris (new owner of BJ70) and a new fellow, Matt (owns an FJ40). Welcome Matt, glad you found us, and hope we see you again!

Keith decided it would be a good idea to start sorting out the membership details within the club. Keith handed around a information sheet for all attendees to fill out (name/phone info). After some discussion Nick officially nominated Jordan, Lauchlan, Chris and Katie as members of the club. The nomination was based on past participation at events, attendance of meetings, and genuine interest in being a part of the club. We voted, and all were in favor, none against. Keith will add their info to the membership list.

We proceeded to have the usual technical cruiser chat. There was some discussion about the August trip. Those in attendance were in favor of planning the trip for the central/north Island area, as there is easy access and lots to see in that area. Nick will continue to research options and routes for that area.
