Here's a thread I found on the newest Lexus V8 engines for the LS line (3UZ vs 1UR); it might give some insights into the next gen LC V8 (will it be a 2UR?). Note there is also a 5 liter V8.

Despite it's reduced displacement, I think the 3UZ would have been an appropriate addition to the 100 series. It's bore/stroke ratio and torque rise is much more off-road friendly than the 2UZ.

In all honestly, I'd be perfectly $hit-happy with a 1FZ in my 100 if I had to do a gasser, but in terms of crappy road-worthy V8s that is...
