Thanks for all the help so far guys. Here's the 83 SR5. Not sure that I'll ever make her a crawler, but she does pretty good close to stock. In these photos I'm packed up for my move to Alaska.

Rebuilt 22R and almost everything else, downey header, 2 1/4" exhaust, rancho shocks, front lift shackles (it was diving forward when

I bought it) and big black lab for added weight in the rear.

That thing is beautifull... wish I had a 1st gen truck that looked that nice!

Thanks. No salt on the roads in Alaska, that's good. Cold as hell, but where I live it's like a desert climate as far as dryness, don't think rust is as bad as other places. I didn't believe the guy who sold it to me, who said it had been garaged for a number of years, but judging by the other 1st gen trucks I've seen, maybe he wasn't pulling my leg. Such a sweet truck, but damn what I wouldn't do for more power that's also smog/IM legal. This is my everyday truck, so I am trying to keep it legal. Sugestions are always welcome. ;)

umm well you could always drop a crap load of money into it thatd give you as much power as you were willing to pay for, but keep in mind its so expensive for this stuff its like throwing money into a fire.
