Hi all. I am going to be aquiring a stock 2000 LC from my Dad soon and am really anxious to do some cool mods. Its the black with grey bottom color. Right away I plan on a lift kit with bigger tires and wheels. Then possib new bumpers followed by maybe new paint all one color. We will see how it goes.

Welcome!

plenty of good info and good folks here...

black shows the mud well after you come back from offroading :D

You want to totally repaint the whole cars color? That might be A LOT of money to do, not to mention kill resale. Ied stick with black, and paint the ARB bumpers you are going to get, gloss black to match.

Right on man! What a blessing to "acquire" such a nice ride from your dad. This list should be a great source to enable you to minimize any trial and error during your build-up. Good Luck.:)

thanks! My pops is the best in the world for soo many reasons. As of yesterday I have worked for him side by side for 11 years and he is not the easiest to work with.
I have been all over this forum finding GREAT information and pictures getting me all charged up, cant wait to get started.

Post a pic of the new ride. I am on the brink of acquiring one myself. I have driven several and now its decision time.

I don't plan on doing any "heavy duty" off-roading. So I dont think I'll need to regear or lockers. I really just like the way the lifted, bigger tires, different bumpers, and sliders looks compared to stock. I do go to Mammoth quite a bit in the winter so I'm sure it will see some snow! Should have a pic posted by the end of the day.

finally

well heres a picture not the best but I couldn't get to it until after dark. it was just detailed.
PS BMWSTOY thanks for the link I am going to watch and prob bid on those they look nice ;-)
