Hello everyone,

I'm new to the tlc scene and still trying to absorb a lot of information regarding my 93 cruiser and/or the FZJ80 in general. I got her last month with 147k miles. She was worth every penny ($5,800, private seller). She's in excellent condition body and mechanically wise. The previous owner really took care of her. The leather interior is a bit worn but no tear on the seats compare to the other cruisers I've seen. I'm in the process of replacing all the fluids and switching to K&N filter and stainless steel brake lines. Future plans are probably in the near future as the bug has bitten me already since the day I came across this site. I have my eyes set on Slee's OME 2.5" Kit and 35" tires (choice haven't been determined). Currently, my wife uses her as a daily driver but weekend she is mine! hahaha... At the moment, I really enjoy having her in our family.

Here she is... as my 7yr old daughter calls her "Big Red".

Enjoy!

Wow, that's shiny! Welcome :flipoff2:

Welcome!:flipoff2:

Can't see the pics b/c of our stupid filter here at work, but I'm sure she's purdy! Ah there it is, NICE!!!!!

Read up about the K&N on here before you use it. Many here, including myself, have stuck w/ OEM (dern fat fingers and dislexia!) to curtail potential MAF issues w/ the oil in a K&N!

,

Fixed it fer ya:)

Grolar - Thank you sir! The pics were taken the day I drove her home.

Polak - I should have search about K&N filters before jumping the gun. Although, I haven't installed it. It's still in the garage waiting to be put on. Now that you mentioned it, it might never reach the engine bay. :) Thank you for the heads up and compliments.

Welcome to the group!

Great looking rig!

the 80 looks great!
if you look at a OEM filter, it is washable and reusable. I have a couple that I just swich off as the other one dries.

Beautiful! And to think that I always thought white was the best color. Welcome to the addiction and save these bone stock pics for posterity!:flipoff2:

welcome! :flipoff2: as mentioned stick with the oem stuff. at the prices cruiserdan gives you...its just plain silly to go aftermarket. looks like a minty truck youve got...nice score.

Welcome to Mud! The rig looks great, can't wait to see what you do to it!

thank you for all the compliments and hospitality. i'll make sure to post pics when i have new toys for the rig.

fyi. i already spoke to cruiserdan yesterday. he is very helpful and knowledgeable person. i can't believe how much cheaper going through him instead of the stealership. i got his name and number locked and loaded!

finally, k&n will be returned. :)

How did you contact Cruiser Dan? I'm a NewB too w/ a '97 locked 80 w/85k miles. I wanna contact him about a bunch of stuff....

Wow, that is a nice truck! Good idea to ditch the K&N. There's a reason these trucks are the best, so stick with OEM and keep it that way.

Oh, and welcome to MUD!

dmos - here it is.

"The two best ways are mud PM's or to call my toll-free number 1-800-432-6668. I enjoy visiting with board members and will entertain calls when I am available. I will also call you back if you remember to leave your number . You can also e-mail me but I can not respond to e-mail as quickly as I can to PM's or the phone."

thermodyn - yes sir! definitely ditching the K&N. thank you.

cheers!
