Hi,

I'm Gary and I live on the beautiful east coast of Australia. I have owned 2 new dual cab SR5 hilux ute for the past 7 years but I'm now venturing into the world of the 70 series cruiser with a 1998 ex coal mine 75 series ute with the 1HZ diesel motor.

I have just bought a new tub as the the floor in the current one has rusted out so any recommendations on restoration threads or tub replacement threads would be great.

Looking forward to sharing my journey, I've attached a photo of the old and the new.

the tub swaps not hard to do mate, I stripped mine right out and had it rebuild, sandblasted and new floor etc, the dash has got about a million hidden bolts holding it in and takes a while to get out but it all comes out in one piece with the loom attached so its only time consuming not overly hard to do :hillbilly:

Phew!

Thanks SH, that's exactly what I wanted to hear. I've attached some pics of the current floor. It's bit of a horror story! Pickup the new tub on Friday.:steer:

I can't add more than one pic at a time, any pointers?

Rust

Just read the user guide and know about the 10 post limit now.
I'll start a new thread about the tub and post some more pictures when I get up to 10 posts, thanks for the welcome guys.

I was going to post more photos but I need to get to 10 posts so keep asking me questions :)

It's pretty ugly!

Finally got to 10 posts!! I've attached pictures of the left side under clutch pedal and the right side under the accelerator which is supposed to be a circular hole with a black plastic cover for access to the chassis bolt.
