Ron,You are right, but the F650GS is shorter than most of their other bikes, and there are options to lower the suspension and the seat. It's one of the few bikes out there used by shorties. As it sits now, I can barely touch the ground with both feet. To ride it home, I was definitely leaning to one side, and doing the one-foot-touchdown. This one has the normal suspension and normal seat.. so I am working on getting a lowered seat/suspension before I continue to use it. It is a 2006 with under 3k miles, and also came with the aluminum panniers, which I have in my garage now.
I thought the 650's have adjustable seats from the factory. If you pull the seat off there might be bars you can move up or down for mounting...

After taking on the role of scout on the HITR run, I went out on a couple of rides with him - he was on his Kawasaki KLR650 and I rode his Suzuki DR250, the one he took on the HITR run. My neighbor took one of his 4 or so bikes on one - an '09 Kawasaki KLX250S. Well the last bike I had was a previous version of that one labeled the KE250. That was in the olden days, as my daughter would say. Her definition of "olden days" is probably the same as anyone's, before she was born - as this was before many here.
