after playing with my auto 2lte surf for over a year now i have bitten the bullet, and in the quest for more general awesomness, perchased a manual 1kzte surf.
the 2lte has been great, and even after i heat seized the engine after a branch went thru my radiator, its still going good. yes, it SEIZED solid. after getting the radiator repaired and changing the oil its fine again haha, no cracked head! the thing wont die! im just after more power, and the manual box is a plus. man it can move!!!
the new truck will be getting all the goodies off my old one, 50mm susp. lift, 50mm body lift, intercooler, boost controller, 33s bars etc etc. plus today i sanded the hole thing down in prep for its forest camoflauge paint job
What i want to know is, are there any issues i need to look out for on these motors other than general maintainance? on the 2l it was the cooling, is it the same on the kz? ill post some photos up shortly of the build up. looking forward to a new toy!!!
