Greetings All! I just wanted to show off the 'Cruiser I've been borrowing/driving lately. I've temporarily relinquished control since my dad has not been able to drive lately :frown:. In the mean-time, it's now my turn to pilot us to the trout streams.

My dad got me hopelessly addicted to Landcruisers with the purchase of an FJ60 when I was 6 (our first 4X4 :D). I was hooked the first time I saw the magical green 4WD dash light come on in a winter snowstorm (even though it ensured that my brother and I were able to make it to Sunday school/church and not play hookey ).

Next came the FJ62. Thanks, in part to Georgia-Pacific's logging "roads" up in da U.P., and the aforementioned 62, we spent many Summer vacations offroading in Michigan's Copper Country during my adolescence. He pulled off some stuff in that tank that opened my eyes to the world of off-roading and brought new meaning to the term "passable route"!

I learned how to drive in "number three" - an FJ80. I also began learning the ins and outs of off-road driving. Mostly outs. This resulted in one of those infamous "Dad, I'm stuck in a cornfield" phone conversations. Y'know, the kind that only seem to happen at 1:30am, in spring, in fresh manure :bang:. (Gotta love America's Dairyland!) It was this 'Cruiser that pulled my T100 out of axle-deep mud and cow s:censor:t.

This brings me to the last of the 'Cruisers I have had the pleasure to drive/co-pilot - the FZJ80. This thing (as I'm sure all of you well know) will drive up a friggin' ladder! It is, IMHO, the most sophisticated, capable and all-around badass 4X4 to ever roll off an assembly line. That having been said, I'd still give it up in a heartbeat just to be back in the 62 for one last trip up to Copper Country with my dad.

Enjoy the pic. Hopefully more to come...

P.S. If I find some pics of the 60, I'll post them. She was a beauty!!! (and the color of this dude's face )
