Hello all! I'm new to the forum. I live in the great state of Texas. Always loved the Toyota brand and Land Cruisers in general. I've owned many! 83 FJ60, and 3 FJ80. I just received my new to me 1996 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 70 Series. Love the look! Going to have to get used to RHD and it's my 1st diesel. 226,621 KM with the timing belt changed at 201100 KMs. Pretty clean but have some stuff to do. A little project I guess. The seller (JDM Sport Classics) did all the maintenance, replaced tires, front knuckles, and new aluminum radiator. Interior is ok but needs some TLC. 3rd row missing. Luckily for me there's a shop where the owner is a 16 year Lexus certified mechanic and he owns a 80 series Canadian model with the same 3.0 KZ-TE motor and said he can work on it if need be, but the very least the scheduled maintenance. 1st off is the interior. Seats are fine but will eventually change to leather. Most pressing is carpet. I've been having a tough time finding a OEM molded carpet kit and would like all season floor mats. I've reached out to True Fit in Australia but have not heard back yet. Radio head units is all Japanese but that will be easy. Having Trouble dropping a picture. I'm not very technical. Won't except the picture from my phone to the file on my computer. I'm sure I'll be reaching out from time to time to the experts on these threads! Thanks for reading!

When I got molded plastic floor covering from Australia, the shipping made it into useless flat sheets of plastic.
Maybe carpets will be different.

You will have to get used to the aggressive San Antonio area drivers because they hate being behind a slow 70 series. (I noticed you are from Boerne.)

I was actually talking about carpet, however they have yet to get back to me. May have to go to a custom shop.

I may have misunderstood him. The main thing is he said he could work on it.
ah...that would be a help if he truely feels comfortable working on Toyota diesels, and you can trust him, or are willing to be patient with him when he gets stump'd.
