New seats for Buddy...

The wife saw her brother's new Heep the other day and liked the seats. Said they're more comfortable than Buddy's old worn out ones. "Can we get some like those?" Uh, yeah. Just not Heep seats,

Anyhow, I started looking around and found these:

Does anyone know anything about these?? They can be had for about $159/pr.!!!! That sounds good to me! A lot of the ricers are running them in their hoopties... FWTW.

Let me know if I'm heading down the wrong road here.

Noooo. Those eBay auctions are only reference points. No F'n way I'd spend $120 for shipping!!! There are other dealers out there that do it for about $60.

I bought some seats similar to the ones you posted off eBay about 2 years ago. They were a little bit more expensive but not much. I found that the material they use is really thin and rips easy. They do even worse in the sun. They faded and look very brittle. They are ment to be inside a well protected car. I plan on reupholstering them with marine grade vinyl soon. They do fit and support your body very well. Not much comfort on the ass end.

I've sat in some similar to these and like 69vortec said, they are probably not too comfortable for a long haul on your butt. Hmmm.... Still researching.

I think I'm gonna try to find the late 80's Mazda 626 seats and have them recovered if necessary. Someone said that the Mazda seats are the right width and only need minor modification to fit in the LC brackets. We'll see...

Toyota Supra seats are comfortable, fit pretty close, have high bolsters (keep you inside!) and most importantly are TEQ
