New Rubber Hunting Boots

I'm looking to replace my Xtra Tuff's with some new rubber boots. Has anyone used Muck boots?

Any other opinions on rubber hunting boots would be appreciated.

Type of hunting is in Alaska wetlands, tussocks, wet, heavely wooded, rough country.

Those are standard issue for every farmer in this area (it helps that there's a Cabelas store locally). I don't have a pair myself, but most of the guys I work with do and really like them.

I bought Nokia rubber boots about 10 years ago - admittedly don't hunt them hard BUT they are the best rubber boots I have come across

I'd want to try them on, I have the Muck camp boots and they are very comfy but they don't have the best shank/footbed for heavy walking imo... Not sure if they are the same.

i have them. they are awesome. just don't get the muck artic sport. they are to warm, even in -20c they are to warm. best boots i have owned, light, warm , and comfortable

On the farm I've gone to cheap chore boots with 2-4 layers of insulating socks in them. I got a pair that are 1 size large to fit the layered socks. I use a moisture wicking sock against my foot, then poly insulating socks over that. When my feet start to feel cool, I replace the socks with dry ones. I'm not sure how they would work for a hike in the woods, but they do fine for all day around the farm.

These are what you need to keep your feet dry in rubber boots (which obviously don't breath), and they tend to help fill up excess space. Wool socks, with bama socks over them.. The bama socks will literally absorb all the condensation/sweat and keep the wool socks dry.
