problems?
exhaust resonance from the headers and muffler make it loud and raspy under high speed throttle. im gonna try a new SS system to take care of that.
it has a weber carb. i kinda like tha manual choke aisins. im considering swapping it back, and going with an original 2f exhaust maifold. i need opinions on that.
the PO put an OME suspention on it in 02', the good Oz made kind.... but.... as noted by the bouncy tank like ride, he put the optional HD OME ad-a-leafs in too. its sprung like a 1 ton rig. i gotta pull those leaves out. looking for volunteers.
front gasket over the windshield wasnt intalled correctly and it was letting in lotsa air on the -5 drive home. very noisy. on the immediate todo list.
other than than that,.

i changed my mind. im betting its the rear driveshaft, as a source of vibration. you gotta get up to 45-50 then it stops at about 60. the h55f is a long transmission, and im bettong from the lack of steering feel, there were no shims involved in the lift. i.e. he just bolted things together, so... i need to remove the add-a-leafs, shim the front end, and check the rear driveshaft.

I agree with 78 - take a look at your driver's front tire - it looks chunked on the inside - and that's enough to make a nasty vibration....

BTW, very nice...
I was getting some vibration during a certain speed range and couldnt locate the source, turns out the bolts connecting the rear drive shaft to the pumpkin were a bit loose. Rookie mistake as this was my first rebuild, and going forward I have been obsessive compulsive about checking all the bolts! And that is one AWESOME looking 40, I cannot wait to get mine out here!
