Stumbled upon this forum several months ago when first considering upgrading to either the LC or LX (or GX). After months of looking, I've narrowed it down to a low mileage '16 LC versus a similarly low mileage '18 LC. A few thousand dollars different, but same CPO warranty. Aside from losing 2 years on the warranty, are there are noticeable differences? I've read some threads about a change in radiator design, etc. but can't find anything that (so far) causes me concern. Thanks in advance, looking forward to it.
 
2018+: KDSS bolt change, automatically power-folding outside mirrors, late-2018s have new radiator design, powered lift gate, non-mandatory rear entertainment, newer transmission software (flashable on 2016-2017), and new key design.

Great, thanks. Confirming with the dealer that they've done the TSB update on the transmission. They sent me a picture with the "raised" panel on the plastic so I hope that it's already been fixed. I don't plan to do anything extreme from an off-roading standpoint, so don't think I should be concerned with the bolt change - is it just swapping out to different bolts? The '16 does have the rear entertainment.
 
Welcome. Either would be a fine choice. The KDSS bolts are critical to anything with the suspension, including simple stuff like adding rear air bags for towing or just replacing shocks. If you get the '16, make sure you grease the KDSS valve body well. If you are in areas where road salt is used, the KDSS valve body will already be very rusty, but grease it up anyway. And no, the KDSS bolts cannot be swapped out. The '16 has a squared raised panel on top of the radiator, but it's a design that's only good for a few years. It's unlikely that's been replaced on a '16, so that one would need to have a new radiator maybe around 100K miles. All of us without regular kid use and many of us with kid us hate the rear entertainment screens on the '16-'17. They are in the way, low res, and difficult to actually use. Many on Mud have removed them and, if needed, replaced them with iPads. All in all, I'd go with the truck that has the best use history and enjoy the ride!

How much lean are we talking about? Unless I'm not understanding, it's a red herring. It likely also has nothing to do with KDSS either, unless someone lifted their vehicle without following reset procedures. Don't let them send you down the path of a wild goose chase.

Since the beginning of time with SUVs and trucks, or vehicles with tall soft springs, there's been a tendency to lean over time. Once a lean starts, more weight is carried by the lower side, further exacerbating the lean. All springs will wear over time potentially developing a sag to against the weaker spring in the set.

What to do? It's why trim packers exist. 5 or 10mm springs spacers to be fitted to the sagging side to re-level the vehicle.

You're right that there is no air pump. There's also presumptions about "KDSS lean". KDSS's function is strictly as a on demand sway bar. Sway bars generally do not impart any twist or lean on the vehicle and will tend to keep it flat/neutral. Messing with the KDSS system to fix a lean is another misdirection.

Thanks to everyone for the feedback. I ended up pulling the trigger on the 18 blue/terra and picked it up yesterday. Certainly missed my 28+mpg in the '12 ES350 on the way home, but 18+ wasn't terrible (all interstate). Now trying to figure out how to bottle that new car smell!
