My name is Anthony (some call me Marco in case I know anyone here)and I drove home my first land cruiser today! 1985, aka the cookie monster due to the shade of blue/4 speed

Purchased this vehicle from Littleton at about 5 yesterday and man I didn't expect to have my first adventure with this thing just yet.
The brakes need to be bled very badly, the steering is loose, radiator needs to be replaced, and the truck died on me on the inspiration exit last night....wipers stopped working not too long before and to say the least this wasn't the safest trip iv'e had in recent memory

My buddies 4banger taco with a 3" lift pulled me to the new life church at about 8 last night. I was able to get a new battery and drive this thing home earlier today.

I will post pics later this week if anyone is interested. it does have some 31" tires along with a old man emu set-up and about 238 rounds on the clock.

Usual Rust issues on the back, but the near future plans are...
Check the alternator for the electrical issue I had last night(drove fine from Denver but the
accessories slowly started dieing)

Bleed the brakes this coming weekend weather permitting(anyone up for helping a springs newbie out? it seems straight forward but i'd like a hand if possible.

Next will be a radiator swap. Can anyone point me in the right direction for a replacement?
I wouldn't mind a used one because I do not know how much longer this motor will last(burring oil)

For the loose steering I plan on replacing theTie-Rod ends and drag linkage/pro alignment.

the inside and out will get some love next starting with a complete detail(clay bar, buff, steam clean inside)
bed liner to follow the bottom body line will be the next weekend project.

I look forward on contributing to these boards, I also met a fella at Wells Fargo on Powers and Constitution where i work a few months back ago. If you see this thanks for planting the seed!:steer:Anthony

welcome Anthony!! sounds like you have a lot of work ahead of you.....get that thing all put together and come out on a trail run. I would normally offer to help out, but I'm kinda stuck working on my own beater right now......seems like I always am. If you need any help there's lots of knowledge here, and at the monthly meetings. good luck.

Anthony,
Congratulations on the new addition to your family. Our next meeting is on Tuesday, the 21st of April at Liberty Toyota North on North Academy. Please stop in and say HI.

David
