Hello MUD:
I recently joined the forum after purchasing a white on black 2009 LC200 for my daughter as she'll be driving in the next year.
It was a private party transaction, original owner, 290,440 miles, all maintenance records, appears to have been well maintained.

Safety and reliability were primary considerations when I made the decision to locate a used LC.
With the help of the forum's vast number of threads, my goal is to research and improve it.
Thanks for the opportunity to be a part of this.
Greatly appreciated.

I'll post a picture once the weather clears up!

That's a hell of a car to start driving with!

It‘s awesome that reliability was a top criteria and you chose a LC with well over a quarter million miles! Speaks volumes about these vehicles.

We'll see how it works out. She's quite petite and I have concerns as to whether her feet will touch the pedals. :)

The power seats have tons of flexibility. I am 5'3 myself and have zero problems getting up and close to the pedals. Solid choice for a first car, seeing as how it's probably one of the safest cars out there. I would honestly feel bad for anyone who crashes into me while i'm driving this thing, unless they had a dump truck or an Abrams, then i'd cry. Like a little baby.

Thank you. :)
I did the best I could given the amount of money I was working with. I didn't have the opportunity to see it until after it was purchased, so it was a bit of a gamble. However, I felt pretty good after discussing some things with the owner. It's not without a few minor cosmetics (mainly a slow driver's window with the auto feature temperamental).

That's very encouraging. She's 4'9"-4'10", so I'm hoping it's a good enough fit. Yes, the size was a critical factor in my decision making!

If you didn't know...sometimes a bit of dry silicon spray in the window tracks can fix that issue. With the window all the way down, just spray some lube in the front and back side tracks and run the window up and down a few times.

a 200 is indeed a good car for first time / student drivers. my daughter learned to drive on a 2003 100 series a couple of years ago. maybe it was a bit intimidating initially to parallel park, but it made her a very good at maneuvering around tight places. It also gave me peace of mind from a safety perspective. Only wish it had a manual gearbox!
