Hey guys! I've always been the type to look right past the Lambos and Porsches, and head straight for giant BOF 4x4 SUVs. After lots of research on this forum, I finally pulled the trigger on a 2003 LX470 with 260k miles. This is my first project car, and I've spent about three weeks triaging all of her many, many issues. Here are some pics, and list of completed/upcoming projects:

Bought the truck in Atlanta, so I towed my DD back

Got her home and cleaned up

Where I spend most of my free time nowadays...

Completed projects:
Cleaned inside and out
FM transmitter
Got fog lights working
Replaced battery
Replaced hood struts
Removed dealer sticker
Changed oil
Floor mats installed
Painted center console trim plate
Fixed sagging rear wiper
Replaced wheel center caps
Replaced rear hatch struts
Replaced rear wiper
Change front and rear differential fluid
Indexed front wipers
Tightenened spare tire to stop squeaking
Sea Foam treatment
Replaced cabin air filters
Painted the transfer case boot
Fixed cushion angle adjustment switch

Necessary bigger repairs:
New CV axles
Potential timing belt replacement (no previous records)
Engine tapping sound when in gear
Pulsating brakes

Smaller things that need to be done:
New drivers seat adjustment switches
Replacing speaker foam rings (ordered)
Replacing a few bubbled chrome trim pieces
Bluetooth audio adapter
Headlight restoration
New AHC switch

I've already been scouring the forums, and posting a few threads looking for help with the bigger repairs. If you're in the Charleston area and want to help out, I've always got beer and a garage - cheers!

Check us out at low country land cruisers....
We're a little closer to you, based out of Charleston, N. Chas, Mt. Pleasant, and Summerville

Congrats on the new LX and on the progress you have made. Nice looking vehicle.

We do a lot with the Upstate Cruisers but checkout the Low Country Land cruisers based in Charleston; here's the link to our clubhouse: SC- Low Country Land Cruisers. Might be going to Cars and Coffee at Town Center this Saturday - let me know if you're interested and we can meet there around 08:00-08:30.

Awesome, thanks! I’ll have friends in town this weekend and probably can’t sneak away, but will definitely try to make it soon!
