great looking truck i love those trucks, but i have seen alot of toyota truck owners put flatbeds on their rigs, and i was just curious as to what are the advantages of a flatbed. i can see it gives you a much better departure angle, is that why? just curious. again great looking truck and welcome.

i had a bobed bed on there with a cap, and the bed and cap were getting crunched on the narrow trails in az. i made the flatbed so it would be outta the way. then i up and moved to NY where there isn't any wheeling!!! the flatbed is lighter, which i think makes getting the back end over waterfalls easier, but mostly i did it to keep from hitting stuff all the time.

Welcome!!! :flipoff2: Nice looking rig! I've been thinking of putting a flatbed on my Toy mini, since occasionally I need to haul both of my ATVs. My buddy and I will fab one up over a weekend a weekend when we get to it.

no, no cars.....fraid of bustin tires well, there is a firebird at the end of the trail "firebird" - might have driven over that before..................

az has GREAT trails, but i would have liked to wheel in colorodo, and utah. maybe next year.........my plan is to spend next winter out west wheelin.
