Hey fellas! I got my first landcruiser a few months back. 1969 FJ40. Been a blast bringing her back to life (easy job really as it was in great shape).
Then the other day I saw this crazy looking blue and white landcruiser down the road from my place. fj55 wow thats cool! Dont see many of those (never have!).
Well couple days later I see this on craigslist. Picked it up a couple days later. Made the 50 mile drive home leaking oil and antifreeze the whole way but she made it.

1973, stock motor I think, weber carb, headers, fairy overdrive, factory racing stripes!
Whachya think!?!? I will try to get more pics up soon.
That overdrive is sweeeeeeeet!!!!

Another proud owner:flipoff2:You lucky dog! You got a 40 and a 55. Your life is now complete. What plans do you have??
 
No plans really yet. Need to give it a once over.
Motor runs great. Leaks oil from about everywhere it could.
It needs a radiator.
It needs brakes.
It needs driven.
I will go from there!:steer:
Probably wont be a resto or anything crazy. Just keep her running good.

Looks like it was taken care of in its past life.

Nice! Looks good. Yeah, get the Piggy running good and drive it. You will be amazed at the attention it will get. :bounce:
 
Thanks guys! I think I did good too. Besides some dried up gaskets, and a radiator that leaks and a bit o rust here and there, this puppy is good to go!
Stoked its got an overdrive...goes down the highway great! I caught my 40 eyeballing it today.

in the top pic... how long did it take you to get your tires in the same position front and back???..... hehe, kinda silly i know i just noticed and thought it was funny....
 
That's kind of a crazy tall antenna there, what's it for, CB or shortwave?

hehehe, i see the comment was treated with as much contempt as was deserved! haha.

seeing the 40 eyeing off the 55 makes me want a 40 shorty! and paint them both the same colour!! (oh sorry color) hehe gay! but they are both fine looking vehicles!
