I just installed Sunpro retro series replacement gauges, and have run into a real problem. The voltage gauge is seems to work fine. When the switch is off the gauge is off, when I turn on the ignigtion the gauge shows the power, but the ignition won't turn over, none of the lights, and none of the other gauges work.
When I put a jumper to the power post of the gauges the ignition turns over, but the lights won't come on. if I put the jumper between the postive and negative post of the voltage gauge everything appears to work properly, but this doesn't seem quite right.
Does anyone have any sugestion? or know what might be the problem? If so drop me a line at slallman2002@yahoo.com
I was told that with a after market fuel gauge
I have to install a after market sending unit in the tank.
As for volt and water and oil someone wired in an independant switch for my head lights and they all piggy back off that for power.
