How does the changing room attach to the base? If you dont mind what is the cost of the changing room? Im looking to adapt the changing room to my RTT not a Mombasa.

LCP - There's a welt sewn into the changing room. To attach it to the tent you thread it through the channel on the bottom of the tent like Socal said. They're selling them on the website for $90 + shipping so you can figure on about $100.

Let me know if you want to give the changing room a go and I'll set you up with a good deal.

Also, FWIW mounting so it opens to the rear is the way to go. I've got all kinds of room in the rack now. I just got back from 150 miles of trail/dirt roads and it worked great. It's like driving a double decker on the trail though. Pic later.

I scrounged through my bolt bucket and replaced most of the provided washers with larger ones. Especially on the top where there is a possibility of things pulling through.
Both main mounting and ladder mounting.
However, I am kinda anal like that.

Here's one of it opening to the rear. My little girl loves it this way and uses the rack as her "porch". I've got the changing room tucked in to avoid having it sprayed by neighborhood cats.

I like the porch!

That is how I want mine to sit on the roof only opening from the side.

Porch on the back for firewood, and such.

Thanks I like it that way. I'm going to move the rack back a bit so the changing room touches as little of the side of the cruiser as possible.
