New carb for old piggy questions...

So I got a cable carb from Trollhole and was wondering what others have done on their piggies.

1. Do I need the hose from the crankcase to the carb adapter? Can I just put a breather up high? I have interference with the new carb and the adapter:





2. Do you guys just cut the end off of the cable and run it in to the cable end?



3. Where should I connect the solenoid up to? I can run an extra wire to the ignition, but was wondering if any of these wires might work? I can voltmeter them when I get a battery in...

I will look tomorrow at my setup for the Pig.

I have been doing a disc brake upgrade to my 40 and haven't really touched the Pig very much for months.

I have the stock carb, and the solenoid wire connects into the harness that goes through the firewall. I neglected to check the color. I will do that tonight.

Black/Yellow, which corresponds to a couple of wiring diagrams I have seen

About that black and yellow wire.... Looks like it may have gotten a little warm...

The good news is I found where it was spliced out and went to the coil. I added a wire to feed the fuel SOV. Just a small repair to the fuel line from the tank, a quick splash of fuel and this piggy should run next weekend!
