Nice. I have a D7000 which I think is a DX version of that with lower (and some technical stuff--not hating). Is that the new 28-300 lens??????? I wish I would have got the 18-200 when I bought mine (I got the 18-105).

The lens is the 24-70/2.8 Nikkor. I've been waiting forever to pick one of those up.

I have a D80 and have wanted to go to FX for a while. Was really happy to see the D800 but the price was a bit steep ($3k). When the D600 ($2k) hit I couldn't help myself...

They should arrive today. Can't wait to get out and see how this thing preforms - the lens too. I have an event I've been asked to photograph this weekend so I should be able to give it a good run.

Nice.

They arrived and all I can say is "Dayum". The D600 is one beefy camera and did a great job on it's trial run. The operator however, needs to spend more time with it to get comfortable with the controls and settings - I swear this thing could bake you a cake. One of the great things about the D600 is the dual SD slots - I can now send JPEG to one card a RAW to the other without losing a step in continuous mode. At 5 FPS it was great catching the engagement of two friends this past weekend.

The lens, great as well. Very solid and fast to focus. Again, the operator is going to need some time to learn the ins and out of this as well.

So far, so good.

nice!
Nikons all the way! :)
