Not to take over the OP's thread, but I'd say this:
- Seating for the 1st two rows is far more comfortable for the passengers in the GX. Leg room is much better for both sets of passengers as compared to an 80.
- Cargo space in the GX is noticeably smaller. It's not quite as wide or deep as the 80. The depth is influenced by the positioning of the rear seats, so you could eke out some more space if you had no passengers, or if your passengers were < 12 years old.
But compared to other, similar sized SUV's and CUV's, the GX benefits from not having a sloping roof and angled rear glass, so you are able to utilize the vertical space better. That was a big seller for us.
