Hi all,
New 2000 LC owner here from the Seattle area. My LC has 230K miles. It's pretty amusing to see the "raised eyebrows" of friends when mentioning I purchased a vehicle with 200K+ miles. But I did allot of research on the reliability of the LX/LC line and felt real confident with my purchase.
My plan is to use as my daily driver (work is only 5 miles away) then use on the weekends for fishing and camping.
I have lurked on MUD for several months and this forum has already help tremendously. So far I have:
- Fixed a leaky A/C condenser and installed filters
- ordered 2 keys from amazon(only 20 bucks each!) and successfully programmed them.
- fixed the DS lock actuator by ordering the $10 DC motor and installing.
- installed LED interior Lighting
Next will be replacing the heater hoses and Tee's( A note on that. Contacted Sam Stewart from Toyota South Atlanta and he is now on the service side. Kyle Edwards kedwards@toyotasouthatlanta.com is now handling parts)
I also set an appointment with Torfab to give my new toy a good inspection.
Thanks again to all for sharing you knowledge. I hope to do the same as I gain experience with this vehicle.
Best Regards,
Brian G.
