I am starting to build a off road trailer and have not welded in about 10 years. I am building a new frame and would like some help welding it. if you are a good welder I would appreciate the help or if you know of someone that can help.

Let me know. I will provide the beer....

I am a good welder, have good equipment, but am a long way from ya... Id love to know what you are working with..what your plans are.

plans are for a 4.5 x 10 trailer made of 2x2x.120 I am thinking 2 10 ft on the sides and then 6 total supports connecting them. for the front, one long bar with 2 supports. i have it drawn out but am open to any suggestions.

I bought a Northern tool 135 amp mig and am picking up gas for it today along with some scrap to practice on and try and build a welder stand.

I looked into upgrading but i got this welder for $299, to get a 140 amp it was $200 more and to get the Hobart 187 it was $400 more.

also i am thinking about using 40 springs for the trailer since they will be softer than normal trailer springs and i can get the axle set up for soa so it will be close to the same ride height as my fj. That being said does anyone have a pair of decent stock 40 springs they want to get rid of.

youtube, thats how i started off, didnt have anyone to help or give me pointers, not that im saying im good welder but i can put a bead on most things
