Darwood said:Maybe CDan con confirm, but I was under the impression that the fzj80 and the Taco had the same front calipers. They sure looked the same to me. Not that this effects the situation but I'm curious.
I also seem to recall that not all 15 inch rims would fit the Taco due to the size of the calipers, but I could be remembering wrong.

my first comment is that 93-97 front calipers are supposed to fit inside most 15 inch rims so maybe try different rims. it is the rears that cause trouble and require grinding.
the second comment is that for front calipers there are competing views on whether the 91-92 front calipers will bolt onto a 93-97 knuckle housing or vice versa. According to C-Dan they don't and you must switch to a 91-92 knuckle housings (which will bolt on to a later axle). According to some guy in new zealand, they do because he has done it but he used used parts. worse case scenario is you can do it by changing over to 91-92 rotors/knuckle housing and calipers. try looking for a wrecked 91-92.

if it is the rear discs a 91-92 switch won't help because that was the semi-floater. one possibility would be japanese through one of the canadian parts dealers. they had full floaters with rear discs before 1993 and for that matter on HJ61s too so I suppose it is possible they used a caliper that would fit inside a 15" rim that will bolt up to a 93+ axle.
