Need quick help on seat covers please

hi all

My 16 LC is arriving in 2 weeks. We are very excited.

I have read a bunch of posts and looks like wet akole is top notch. We have 2 dogs and we want to totally dog proof all seats.

Is there a style that works better than the other?
Are they really difficult to install? Ive read they can be challenging.

Has anyone bought covers for their 3rd row two seats as well?


Crazy question..is there anything that can cover the front passenger dashboard? Thats where the poochies stand up on riding in the front seat.

Congrats on the forthcoming '16!

I have black Wet Okole covers in the second row of my '07 4Runner primarily for kid beach duty but they've also done well with my dogs (one 20lb and one 40lb) too. (My recollection is when I ordered them a couple years ago the fronts would have had strange cut outs to accommodate the side air bags so I chose not to get them.)

I dig the Wet Okoles on the 4R, but not sure I'd go for it on my '14 Cruiser. I don't know if I'd want anything covering my front seats anyway since I like the cooled seats. That being said, I'm not sure I'd be too keen on letting my dogs have free reign in a brand spanking new rig (I haven't let them so much as sniff the tires on my LC in the year I've had it). Though, I would like to try these seat covers out some day when I finally get to mod it:

If I had to put my dogs in my LC I'd get something like the Australian spec barrier (link below) and keep them in the cargo area with the third row stowed and covered with JDM covers (link below). Probably safer for the dogs and the somewhat scratch prone interior of the 200 series. Just my .02...

I was going to buy a set of neoprene covers for our new acura until I saw this. Not trying to scare you (or saying okoles do this ) but these were OEM covers that had permanent dye transfer. Glad I saw this before I purchased. Seats were ruined and owner says acura replaced.

Oh , I just bought some 'wetsuit' seat covers from Costco. Then decided to search neoprene and found this thread. I hope Costco and Acura don't use the same supplier.

I have had my eye on these: Amazon.com: Coverking Front 50/50 Bucket Custom Fit Seat Cover for Select Toyota Land Cruiser Models - Ballistic (Cashmere): Automotive for awhile now, but Amazon won't ship them to Alaska. They're on my short-list, I will get them eventually. Costco has them in black and grey, just not the tan that I need.
