Redline Tuning has developed a hood strut system to replace the flimsy prop rod that holds up the hood.

They are in need of a 3rd generation 4Runner to be their beta tester-they will install a QuickLift on your Runner for free! You are expected to provide feedback on the system-how it fits and works and so on.

Please contact me so I can put you in touch with the correct folks at Redline.

All I want is to be able to buy their stuff-and they won't release the 4Runner model until they are assured it fits and works well. They already offer a model for the Tacoma-and advise it is not interchangeable. I am in Colorado and just about stubborn enough to drive up there myself-must be spring fever setting in.

Now for sale at Redline Tuning

A Michigan owner of a 3rd generation has stepped up and the QuickLift hood strut support system is now for sale on the Redline Tuning website.

It is potentially possible that their system will also bolt up to other years of 4Runners-but at this time it is only a confirmed fit on 1996-2002 4Runners.
