I found a military trailer thanks to Chad Smithson from the e-mail list

I have understood that the trailer it's on Haltom City, Tx that's near Forthworth.
Who lives or passes through there that will do me the favor of picking it up and deliver it at round up?

anybody?

I will compensate you some how.

Thanks!

JP

For my luck, I belive is still a pintle.

I'll find out more tomorrow.

Will post later.

I can throw it on the Hillbilly Hauler on our way through FW. Hitch type won't matter as I'll prolly just winch on the trailer. Does it have a wheel or skid type front leg? It's just gotta be somewher I can get the trailer into and out of.

let you know later Sir!

Thanks for the support!

I've got a pintle setup that'll fit a 2" receiver. Just ain't got no vehicle to pull it with.

Well, there we have it.

Domek, if you can confirm the wiring is 4 plug & operational I'll grab Jason's receiver and drag it down.

If the lights are jacked up I'll have to leave it.

LMK...

Congrats JP.

If'n it's what you want, then get 'er bought sir ...

Between all of us we'll figure outta way to get 'er to the Round-up for ya.

As already mentioned above ... you need to verify the type of hitch (ball or pintle. If a ball, then what size?), voltage/status of lights (12 volt or 24 volt? Do they work? Type of plug-in?), and is it roadworthy (Tires and bearings OK?).

None of the above will prevent us from gettin' 'er to ya ... just need to know what we're gettin' into when we go fetch 'er.

... and how much it's gonna cost ya. :flipoff2:

Also ... make sure the Fella will store it for ya until one of us can fetch it.

here's the deal

I spoke with the owner and he's got the darn trailer in a farm.

it's got a pintle thingy to pull it

ligths not to sure if they work, but since he has not move it in a while, assumed they are not working.

here's the solution:
"Best thing to use for lights is the magnetic tow lights that will plug into your vehicle."

Thanks KC Smithson. I was not worried about the lights. I though the same thing.

Is it road worthy? He will let me know at a later time and he will include some pictures.

I asked him for a title and he said don't have one, but he will give me a bill of sale.

I don't have that much of experience on this things(title/Bill of sales), so I need your input on this.
he said that for trailers it's not a big deal to get a title, but there's a chance that he'll find the original title.

... and how much it's gonna cost ya. not 2K dollar as some fool was asking Ja! ja! ja!

As far as price, the guy want $450.00 I will let you know the final price once I get'er home.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the help and input

JP.

If'n I bring 'er to the Round-up for ya ...

your final price will be right about $2K. :grinpimp:

Seriously though ... you'd better see some pics before you buy it sir. Lil' trailers are prone to rust. What model is it?

Get title if'n he's got it ... otherwise just get the bill of sale.

Domek, I'm workin on tryin to make it to the roundup. If I do I can Just stick it inside my trailer with the buggy if this gentleman will meet me by a major highway that way no one has to worry about pullin it. Won't know if I'll be able to make it to the roundup till the oldlady has this kiddo. Just tryin to help. Bryan

Thanks again!

I spoke with the Chris, guy selling the trailer, yesterday and send me an email today. He said prolly no lights. something about cow chewing on cables.

Current owner will get the trailer this weekend from the farm and will send me some pictures. Once I get them, I'll post them and tell me what you all think.

Bryan hope everything goes fine for you and your family!

Thought you sold your trailer sir.

Wonder who would be the first to catch that, I bought another and after my wife dominos I have to go to Vegas and pick it up. This one is just a tad bigger but it has ALL the goodies on it already. I have to do nothing but put my belongings in it and go. It is actually a 48' (only 4 feet longer and less money than the last one, feel like i stole it)triple axle.(3-7k axles) It has enough room in the rear for my buggy and your 40 with all the living quarters still up front and it is 8'8" tall inside for the big rigs. after doing some reevaluating I'm fixin to be doin alot of wheelin (as long as baby and momma are ok). Deal withh the wife is that I be home to take care of everything during the week and crawl on the weekends. She has even taken vacation for the ramble in June, so I'll be bringing the whole family.
