Looking to change my wheels from aftermarkets to 18" OEM. Unfortunately, unable to find any OEM 18" alloys, either LC or LX, in stock and at a reasonable price, retailer or local classifieds. This has me looking to the more prolific Tundra wheels. There's steelies and alloys. I'm unsure which to pursue. My use is mixed, with a lot of interstate and backroad travel, as well as trail/off-road. The weight of the steelies has me concerned for handling, component wear, mpg and overall performance, but they're easy to find and CHEAP! The alloys are more rare and harder to come by. I've researched the many threads on mud, but unable to make a decision. Looking for a simple swap, no spacers or funny business. Thought 16s would work, but my use would see a lot rocks getting stuck between brakes and wheels most likely. Wanting to run 305/65R18/E 124R KO2s with no lift, but Slee AHC override. Thoughts, please.
